Welcome from the Head of Pre-Primary Education
Dear Families, 
I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Head of Pre-primary Education at the Junior School. My name is Cally Xenophontos. With a degree in Early Childhood Education in hand, I embarked on my teaching career in 1994 in the United States, driven by a deep passion for early childhood education. Since 2007, I have had the privilege of teaching and nurturing young minds at the Junior School, establishing a strong connection with this community.
With over 25 years of experience in early childhood education, I aim to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my new role, supporting your child's educational journey. Having previously served as Year Leader for Early Years 3 for ten years and most recently as assistant headteacher of the Early Years department, I am familiar with the unique needs and developmental stages of our young learners. I intend to collaborate closely with Mrs. Theocharides to ensure a smooth transition from pre-primary to primary school.
My educational philosophy revolves around learning through play. I firmly believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged and having fun. Through a wide range of hands-on activities and play-based experiences, we will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where your child can explore, discover, and develop their skills.
We are fortunate to have an exceptional team of Year Group Leaders who will ensure a well-rounded early years curriculum for their year groups. The Year Leaders for Early Years Department are:

We are committed to working closely with each one of you to ensure that we create a strong support network for your child's growth and development. Together, we will foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that values each child's unique qualities and encourages their full potential.
I am truly honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of guiding your child through their early years. I look forward to meeting you personally and building a strong partnership to make your child's time in the Early Years a memorable and enriching experience.
