Student Support KS3 Information

Support for students in Years 7 to 9 is overseen initially by the Head of Year 7 and then by the Head of KS3. It is their role to help students unlock their full potential, focusing on academic performance and wellbeing.

Students’ progress and performance is constantly monitored through target setting and review and through the use of data such as MIDYIS, end of year examination results, short term target grades and teacher predicted grades.

Students are also introduced and guided to an understanding and awareness of key PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) issues through the assembly programme, individual lessons and visits from outside speakers.

The Head of Year 7 and Head of KS3 will ensure high standards of attendance, work, behaviour and dress and work in partnership with parents, form tutors, teachers and Heads of Departments.
