Year 6 Home Learning

Pupils will be given homework every day and should set aside a maximum of one and a half hours to complete this after the school day. In Year 6, homework may consist of finishing off something that was started in school or it could be a stand-alone piece of work. It is recommended that work is completed the day it is set in order to stay ‘on-top’ of the homework set. Pupils are responsible for writing a clear description of all homework in their Daily Planner, which should be in school each day. It is essential for all pupils to complete all homework set.

As a parent, you should be available to support your child rather than to complete the work for them. However, if you find that there is no real understanding of the concept of work given, then please notify us through the Daily Planner.
