Year 5 Routines & Expectations

School Day

In Year 5 the children are expected to be in class by 7.45 am. The school day officially starts promptly at 7:50 am when the register is taken.

Year 5 children are encouraged to be in their classrooms earlier to ensure that they have given in their homework and have a chance to discuss any problems with their class teacher before the start of the school day. An earlier start is also to prepare them for a 7.40 am start in Year 6.

Year 5 children arriving after this time will be marked in the register as late. If they arrive at school after 7:50 they should first visit the office to be marked in the register before going to their classroom.

Children should not enter school before this time (unless they wish to visit the school library or have a duty to perform). They will be supervised on the playground from 7:00.

The school day finishes at 1:10pm, unless children have afternoon activities which end at 2:25 pm. Children should be collected promptly at these times.

Please help the parking around the school grounds by arriving and leaving promptly at these times.
