Reception Assessment & Reporting

Children are assessed informally on a daily basis, this is done through observation and interaction. Formal assessment is carried out every half term. This information is used to support and further develop your child’s learning.

Throughout the academic year, parents will receive two formal school reports.

Parent Meetings

At the beginning of the school year parents are invited to attend an ‘Information Meeting’ whereby the curriculum and general information is shared.

Parents are welcomed and encouraged to talk with class teachers whenever necessary. An appointment can be made via the child’s Daily Planner.

Parents and teachers meet formally twice a year the focus being on the children’s learning and progress. Parents are encouraged to look at their child’s books and celebrate their progress and achievements.
