Practical Work

Throughout the Faculty, all staff encourage practical work both in the lab and in the field. This is invaluable, since it offers students the opportunity to question experimental design, validity & reliability, all of which need to be addressed in their exams.

Field Work

This too is a vital part of the students’ Scientific experience and learning at our School. Apart from the academic skills learnt, we find our students benefit from the teamwork and leadership opportunities, not to mention the enhancement of self-esteem.

The Senior School liaises closely with various environmental centers in Cyprus to offer students the experience of field work in years 7 and 13. The work that is conducted complements the course syllabuses, and satisfies the requirements of the Biology Advanced Level specification.
